athletics-ico

The mission of the Sullivan High School Athletic Program is to provide student-athletes with an opportunity to compete successfully in a high school athletic program that is an integral part of their educational experience.

NOTE: TRYOUTS FOR EACH SPORT WILL OCCUR EACH SEASON.
All athletes must have a current physical on file with the athletic department that is not older than 13-months. Athletes with expired physicals must submit new physicals to the coach of their respective sport before they participate in any tryout or practice. All returning athletes must have passed 25 semester hours of class (the equivalent of 5 classes) or gone to summer school to make up delinquent classes; passing grades are based on June report cards.

Transfer or foreign exchange students must contact Athletic Director Greg Zagorski for eligibility status.

Please contact Athletic Director Greg Zagorski if you have any questions about Sullivan’s athletic program.

The Anime-Gamer’s club was created in 2003. Mr. A Smith has been the sponsor ever since helping to co-create the club with Mr. Cesar Pantoja. We meet in room 210 after school, usually on Fridays. Our club members encompass every aspect of our student body: regular, special ed., honors, JROTC, medical, CTE students, freshman through senior year, and they embody the strength of our school spirit by being well behaved and working towards achieving the best grades possible. Last year the members voted in our first female president: Ms. Cora Quinn, who has been doing an excellent job by all accounts in her leadership role. Our club members have been having fun playing and discussing the various games and anime they like to play and watch since the start of school. We still have alumni that visit on our gaming days to participate and share their experiences from college and career life after high school. The Anime-Gamers members will be hosting and participating in the Hour of Code seminar which teaches us how to learn the computer language of coding and programming after school in room 135 on December 12th, 2013, with Mr. Beck sponsoring the program.
